Expanding Expertise at BURK
BURK Kunststofftechnik GmbH is expanding its technological expertise and is actively exploring the MIM process. The goal is to open up new possibilities for the cost-effective production of complex metal components and to meet future customer requirements with even greater precision.
As part of this development, an initial prototype has already been successfully produced: a fitting for heating circuit manifolds in underfloor heating systems. This component clearly demonstrates the potential of the MIM process – particularly when it comes to complex geometries, high dimensional accuracy, and consistent quality.
The MIM process combines the design flexibility of plastic injection molding with the material properties of metal. This makes it possible to manufacture complex components efficiently and in large quantities, while ensuring high precision and cost-effectiveness.
With this move, BURK is strategically expanding its service portfolio and laying the groundwork for innovative solutions across a wide range of applications. The company views the MIM process as a promising addition to its existing injection molding expertise and is continuously investing in knowledge, technology, and partnerships.
